Phellow Phantoms, I just want to start by commending you all on the way we have started the season. Some very competitive games, especially pleasing results at Warnbro on the weekend, and the fact everyone who can is turning up to make sure we can put out 2 sides each weekend has been Phantastic. Also, the numbers have been very good on the track despite the new venue. Tomorrow night will (should) be our final night at Davilak, and as a thank you from the Cockburn footy club, (should be us thanking them), they are supplying pizzas for dinner so hang around and show our appreciation for their hospitality. They have been very accommodating and it’s been brilliant that they’ve opened the bar for us each night. For those of you who received your playing gurnsey on Sunday please see Paul to pay for it. Also memberships are overdue and are required to be paid by the home game. Once again Paul is your man or you can eft your payment to the following account. BSB: 036-302 Ac: 193893 Reference: Name and fees Wildy will also have hoodies, a few jackets and polos available to be purchased, just in time for the carnival. Those that didn’t receiver shorts and socks, they’ll be available for the home game. So what’s happening moving forward. Key dates and times are as follows: Sunday June 5th – Country carnival at Busselton. Phantoms first game is at 11am and our last starts at 2.30pm and should be finished by 3pm for those doing the day trip. Please remember to put your name on the team sheet at training this Wednesday. For those that haven’t been before, we play 3 games against country teams with each game consisting of 2 13 minute halves, so the more players we have available the better. Games are played at the oval on the corner of the Vasse and Bussell Highways. I have been notified that the Pigs are taking a bus down and back Sunday and have spare seats. If you’re interested give Jezza a call on 0428 674 516. For those of you who are planning on camping can you make sure you put your name on the sheet this Wednesday so we can give Bucko’s family an indication of numbers. Camping is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. 1252 Kalooruo Road, Kaloorup, WA 6280

Obviously to those camping, please make sure everything we bring we take away. There is an outdoor toilet and shower available to us this year apparently. Wednesday June 8th – no scheduled training. Instead we will have a recovery session at Ballers Sports Bar to watch State of Origin 1. The game starts at 6pm and this will be a great opportunity to support one of our major sponsors. Sunday June 12th – Phantoms host a fixture of the WA AFL Masters: Games begin at 9am so all players are required to be at the oval to assist with setup no later than 8am. There will be a club photo between the 9am and 10.10am game which is the changeover between the Masters and Supers game. In all there are 7 games being played with the final game starting at 3.30pm, so it will be all over at 4.30pm. This is our one day to showcase the Fremantle Phantoms to the rest of the competition, and we have a reputation as being a round clubs love to play. We will be hosting 7 clubs on the day. As usual we need everyone to hang around and make sure the day runs smoothly, and then especially at the back end to help with the pack up and clean up. It’s always a good feeling when I see guys take it upon themselves to offer to help, so please don’t be shy to come and ask to be involved. Rocket will have a sheet with the key jobs on it so if you see something you can help with please put your name down. Wednesday June 15th – training returns to Gil Fraser: I expect the lights to be up and running and we will use this session just to settle back in. Wednesday June 22nd: We will have our usual training followed by our welcome back to the Gil night which will include Choke the Chicken, fines, 50 boards and some exclusive entertainment to get our season returning to some normalcy. Sunday June 26th – Phantoms are playing at Des Penman Reserve Nollamara. Masters at 8.30 am vs Wembley Vets BLOODY EARLY Supers at 9.35 am vs Wembley Vets That’ll do for now, look forward to seeing you all down at Davilak tomorrow night. Regards, Steve Ross
